Chapter 4: The 6-Year Old Young Wife
It has passed a month after coming to another world.
I was spending most of my time during that, staying at Ojii-san’s archive.
It’s not like a 6-year old child can do anything, and reading manga and learning magic was fun.
After a month, I have read through one-third of Ojii-san’s archive.
And the magic that I remembered was already beyond three-digits.
And what I’ve found out, was most of this world’s people are not able to read manga.
The best they could read is a 4-koma manga, but if it was a story manga’s panel layout they are confused, and if sound effects like *Doーn* appears they will not be able to read the page.
And the American comic-like one was 「The most difficult Grimoire in the world」Ojii-san said.
I also took a hard time with that. The panel layout and the way you turn its pages were different……But I could still read it normally.
And, if I specifically talk about how much they couldn’t read it, at the level that they read, one volume of a comics would take six months to a year, even the people who are considered as “fast” would take a month.
Ojii-san took care of me well so I tried to teach him how to read a manga, but the result ended with him not understanding at all.
There isn’t a difficult thing in reading a manga though, it’s very strange.

Sylvia’s body was coated by light, and changed her appearance in an instant.
A veil on her head, dress in her body, and a bouquet in both of her hands.
A very lovely, wedding dress look.

Sylvia was surprised. I took her hand, and kissed the back of it.
「Welcome Sylvia, my lovely bride」

Sylvia flushed her cheeks, and looked down shyly.
Yup, it was better with her being frightened.
「Oh, Good job Lucio」
Ojii-san was overjoyed.

At night, I was woken up by a strange presence.
When I opened my eyes, Sylvia was awake in the bed, and was flustered.
With Ojii-san’s orders, I am sleeping together with Sylvia in the same bed.
The bed itself was larger than a king’s size, so we were sleeping on top of it with a little distance.
She was sleeping, but something happened, and was flustered.
「What happened, Sylvia」
「Kya!」
When I called to her, she made a loud scream.
I wonder what it was.
I also raised my body.
Sylvia was hugging her pillow, and was making her body small.
「What happーーWait, *Un*?」
When I tried to approach her, crawling on the top of the bed, the place where I touched my hand was a little moist.
One part of the bed was wet with water.
Thinking what it was, I smelled itーーit was pee.
Maybe……thinking that, I looked at Sylvia.
Moist bed, a 6-year old child who was embarrassed.

「Lets go change」

Sylvia was trying to say an excuse.
「It’s alright, don’t mind it」
I said, and smiled at her. “I really don’t mind”, it was that kind of expression.
「If it was left like that you would catch a cold, lets go change」
I called a maid, and let her prepare change of clothes.
I received the change of clothes, and let the maid go outside for once.
「Let’s change, I’ll help you」
「Y-You aren’t angry?」
「I’m not angry. There’s no reason for that」
I didn’t feel the need to be angry to a child, even if she wets her bed every time.
「……Sorry. When I, sleep in a place I’m not familiar it becomes like this」
「Was that so」
「I’m really sorry」
「It’s okay. You should just get familiar in this house at your own pace」
While I was saying that, I removed Sylvia’s pajama, wiped her crotch clean, and let her change with a new pajama.
Sylvia was a little embarrassed, but she let me help her change.
I burned the soiled pajama with a Fire Ball, leaving no trace of it.
After changing, I called the maid, and let her change the sheets.
Together with Sylvia, I went on the top of the bed with new sheets.
「Come, let’s sleep」
「Uhm」
「Yup?」
「Thanks」
「You’re welcome」
「U-Uhm」

「Hands, can we hold them?」
「Yeah, it’s fine」
I reached out, and Sylvia holds our hands gladly.
Together, we slept while holding hands.

If you are able to read the atmosphere or even follow the story (I read the Japanese version just came here to read the comments and reply to some because its an interesting chapter), the girl is feeling embarrassed because she wets the bed, very ashamed because the MC found out, and afraid because she is afraid of being scolded for wetting the bed, so what did the MC do?
MC “discreetly” resolved the issue to as few people found out about the incident as to reduce his loli waifu’s emotional stress, the clean clothes are obtained at the door without the maid entering the bed room so as to prevent others from witnessing this scene and create more emotional stress for her, the MC does not mind as mentioned in the chapter but that does not mean she feels the same way, if not why is she acting the way she is now?
After undressing her and then lovingly wiping her gently clean, dressed her and destroyed most of the evidence, MC calls the maid into the room to change the bed sheets, now some of you might think, “since the bed sheets and pajama is already wet with pee, why only burn the pajama and not the bed sheets as well?” the reason is like this, lets recap, during the scene of the incident only MC and loli waifu who caused it knows of what happened, maid is outside the room, clean clothes obtained at the door without the maid entering the room, MC later called maid but this time entering the room and see both MC and loli waifu in clean pajama and is tasked to change the bed sheets that are wet, meaning if one was to speculate, it could be:
a) MC wet the bed.
b) Loli waifu wet the bed.
c) Something happened and the bed got wet.
d) This is a noble/aristocrat house, maids shouldn’t speculate what they didn’t see.
e) To reduce loli waifu’s emotional stress of others witnessing the pajama that she wet and a possibility that later in the day it will become a subject/topic/rumor and risk spreading the incident to certain people in the house that should not need to know about it.
I can list a few more but I think this much is enough.
This MC treats the loli waifu with love and delicate care of her emotional mentality.
If some of you still can’t understand then think about this scenario that you are in, you are caught for doing something bad, be it cheating in exams, shoplifting, taking a piss in the bushes because the toilet queue is too long or whatever, the punishment and your crime that you commit is put on public display as in the newspaper or your local television news station or internet or whatever media but however if given a choice, would you prefer the incident you are in to be handled publicly or privately where only as few people that knows possible about the bad thing/s you have done?

O_O What a long reply. Anyway, what I mean is why didn’t he use cleaning spell, and burning stuff in your room right before going to sleep is super dangerous. What if the heat make something burn later and cause fire, then they would suffocate to death without knowing it
If he had cleaning spells then why bother calling the maid for new clothes and just use magic to solve it instead of only just using fire magic to burn the pajama since he is going to use magic anyway.
Obviously even if such a situation occurred he would solve it with his magic anyway, he used before air magic, water magic and ice magic, you think a fire like that would cause any problems?
Why not discuss the issue of carbon dioxide/monoxide poisoning instead from burning stuff in the room? (hint: try opening the windows)
But the real answer is, you lack imagination, this isn’t science class, does the author need to explain every little detail?

I could type another wall of text to expand on every scenario the author didn’t cover and then come to the same conclusion as the author’s current chapter, but smart people know that is like watching how grass grow outside in the sun however for me I prefer watching a wall of paint dry indoors because its cooler and takes a lot less time for the paint to dry than to watch grass grow. <– So interesting! 😀
Anyway I didn’t read the English translated chapters so there is probably some mistranslation or little details are lost during translation somewhere if you are not understanding this chapter, that is one of the reasons why I don’t read English translation from Japanese or Chinese novels because its very hard to translate some of the phases or idioms to English without losing the meaning in them or translating them completely to something else than what the author is conveying.
I have already read up to chapter 77 on the Japanese web novel website.

He later learns a magic skill that can make “things” disappear from existence so no more burning stuffs to destroy stuffs anymore and it could count as a house cleaning magic or just getting rid of stuff magic but using it in combat is useless, unless he can make it strong enough, the magic skill name starts with “B” and ends with “e” xD.
This kinda makes me remember about some character in Majikoi who use a black hole to throw away trashes in fast food restaurant.
