The two carrier pigeons that carry the first report of Falma who was in Marseille arrived at Bruno who was staying in the imperial capital.

why does using effective methods of annihilation is cowardly? it is effective then its all good.
Because it’s low effort and without honor, killing them not by your own hand, taking on the onus of directly ending their lives, and causing them to waste away slowly, in pain and suffering, for prolonged periods of time.
But war is war and killing is killing. There is no honor in that. It’ seems to me that it is more of matter of to what extent and for what reasons should morals be left behind.
You couldn’t be any more wrong on that first point. There’s tons of honour in war to be had. It all depends on how it’s conducted, which your second point is in full agreement with me on. Look at the Holocaust and the Nazis’ treatment of not just the Jews but many other peoples (More Ukrainians died than Jews, and that’s just one of many as I said); They’re treated as scum whose actions were as dishonourable as can be, even by skinheads who otherwise laud the whole Aryan Race bullshit. Same with using napalm. Same with using biological weapons. Same with using chemical weapons. They’re all heinous actions that cannot be forgiven- to the point that Trump changed his Syria position because Assad used chemical weapons, and the media and political left are cheering him for that.
Because while it is effective, it can also bite you back. If you make the nuke, will the nuke kill you? Possibly, except the chances are low. But a bioweapon can. Of all weapons that can fuck you in the ass, it’s definitely bioweapons and AIs.
I agree as a computer scientist. Biological weapons and highly advanced Artificial Intelligence are things you DO NOT want to mess with lightly. Why? Because other things are well targeted, but bioweapons are indiscriminate and highly advanced AIs are unpredictable.

But there’s one thing I would like to add, just to make sure of… At the end of the chapter they call out: “water spear (spear van water)”. If the translation between the brackats really is Dutch, that it should be ‘speer’ instead of “spear Though, that’s just me nitpicking on a really small detail
